How do I begin trading video games with gametraderdirect.com?
       To begin trading games using gametraderdirect.com, simply fill out the information on the registration page which includes your name, email, address, and credit card information.

Once you have registered with www.gametraderdirect.com select the games that you own and are willing to trade for your HAVE list and select the games that you would like to receive for your WANT list.

After that, www.gametraderdirect.com will match you up with other members that have and want the games that are on your HAVE and WANT lists.

How do I select games for my HAVE and WANT lists?
       Simply browse through the game database, when you find a game that you would like to select, click on the picture of that game. Then make the appropriate selection with have or want buttons. The game will be automatically added to your list.

Do I own the games I receive?
       Yes, every game that you receive through www.gametraderdirect.com is yours to keep. You can keep the game for as long as you want or trade it again.

What if I am under 18, can I still become a member?
       Yes, a member can start an account in their name with their parent or guardian being listed on the account.

Are games on www.gametraderdirect.com rated? How do I tell what the rating is?
       Yes, every game on the www.gametraderdirect.com system is rated by the Entertainment
Software Rating Board. Thess ratings are
EC: Early Childhood
E: Everyone
E10+: Everyone 10+
T: Teen 13+
M: Mature 17+
A0: Adults Only

However most games in the www.gametraderdirect.com database are rated, but not limited to, E, T, and M.

The ratings for each game are shown on the picture of the game along with given in the description of that game. Please be careful and only place the games that meet your standards on your want list.

What forms of payment does www.gametraderdirect.com accept?
       www.gametraderdirect.com accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover card, and American Express payments at this time.

When will my credit card get charged?
       Your credit card will be charged the standard fee of $4.99 when you agree to receive a game from your want list.

How can I tell how much I've been charge?
       Check the Games Received section in your Account Information section. It will show what games you have received and on what dates, along with the charges for each game.

Shipping

How do I ship my games?
       Shipping with www.gametraderdirect.com is fast and easy. If the game you are shipping is the first game that you have shipped simply click on the link SHIPPING MATERIALS after you agree to ship your first game. This will provide us with a request for shipping materials for you. These shipping envelopes should arrive in 3-5 buisness days. Once you get the prepaid envelopes simply place your game in the envelope along with the case and/ or instruction manual if you agreed to send these as well, seal the envelope and drop it in the mail. There is no shipping to pay.

Do I have to ship a game when it is requested?
       No, you can choose not to send a game if it is requested from you. However, shipping games is the only way to be able to receive games.

I am new and need shipping envelopes?
       Once you agree to ship your first game, select the Shipping materials link at the bottom of the page before you agree to ship the game to the other member. This will let us know you need the prepaid envelopes. As soon as they arrive put the game in the envelope along with the case and instruction book if you agreed to ship the game that way and drop it in the mail.

How do I get more shipping envelopes?
       Once you have agreed to ship a game, click the link shipping materials at the bottom of the page and we will automatically send you more prepaid shipping envelopes. If you do not see this link, simply contact us, give us your name and username and we will send you more envelopes.

Do I have to ship games with the instruction book and case?
       No, when you place the game on your HAVE list, mark the game according to what will come with it. Games with both the case and instructions should be marked as game with case and instruction booklet. Games with only the instruction booklet but no case should be marked as game with instruction booklet only, and games with only the case should be marked as game only.

Receiving

It gives me an error message when I try to accept a game, what is wrong?
       In order to receive a game you must shipping information present so that you can receive the game from the other member. Once you've signed up click on the Edit My Profile and update your shipping and billing information. This will allow you to recieve games from other members.

How do I agree to receive a game?
       Once you have completed your WANT list, the www.gametraderdirect.com system will match your request with other members. At the bottom of the page in the Transaction Section there will be a link asking if you Approve or Do not send at this time. Clicking on the approve link lets the shipping member know you would like to receive this game.

How do I confirm that I received a game?
       Once a game has been received, use the drop down box in the feedback section to select the condition the game was received in. Once you have made a selection simply click the submit button.

What happens if I do not confirm a game that I received?
       If you have not confirmed a game 20 days after it has been shipped, it will be assumed the game arrived and was in working condition.

What if my game is not confirmed by the receipant?
       If the game you shipped has not been confirmed 20 days after shipment then gametraderdirect will automatically confirm the game and credit for a successful shipment will be given.

Why haven't I received a game that was sent to me?
       The mail system is sometimes slow. Holidays and natural diasaters can slow delivery of goods by the USPS. Please allow no fewer than 15 days after the shipped date before you confirm a game as having not arrived.

What happens if I receive the wrong game?
       If you receive the wrong game, check that the game works properly. If the game is not the game that is listed as shipped, mark as did not receive. Add the wrong game back into your HAVE list and the game you originally wanted will be placed back into your WANT list.

How do I confirm a game is in good condition?
       To confirm that a game is in good condition, put the game into your system and spend some time playing it. Be sure to confirm your game as quickly as possible.

What happens if I receive an unplayable game?
       If you receive a game that is damaged or will not play, mark it as such on the feedback section and that game will be added back into your WANT list.

When will my credit card get charged?
       Your credit card will be charged the standard fee of $4.99 when you agree to receive a game from your want list.
